Piccolo Seeds - "Blue Pepe Nasturtium" seeds

In 2012, Piccolo Seeds was founded with the aim of offering carefully selected seeds for planting urban gardens, especially those with limited space.

The vegetable and plant seeds have been specially developed for growing in pots to meet the needs of urban gardeners. They are compact, dwarf varieties that are ideal for patio or balcony gardens.

In addition to vegetable and plant seeds, Piccolo Seeds also offers a selection of fruit, herb and edible flower seeds to complete the range. The eye eats with.

Nasturtium Blue Pepe is a unique European variety bred specifically for culinary use. The name comes from its beautiful steel-blue leaves with reddish-purple undersides. The flowers are also edible; their bright red color makes them an attractive addition to salads and is ideal for garnishing stir-fries. The leaves have a slightly peppery taste reminiscent of watercress. The flavor becomes spicier as the flowers grow in sunnier, warmer weather. The flowers have a less intense flavor than the leaves, but they add a dramatic, colorful touch to any recipe. Nasturtiums were first cultivated in Peru and were introduced to Europe by the Spanish conquistadors in the 16th century.
